To add to this, I would say it helps to minimize the time you spend on repetitive tasks that don't add value.

I've timed my "get ready in the morning" routine down to 15 mins and regularly monitor it. Same with things like cooking, showering, commuting. Some things must happen, but don't add value, so it helps to keep them short.
