There's a great book called Someday is Today by Matthew Dicks that outlines all the ways he fits writing into his day as a full-time teacher and with two young kids.

He takes 100 second showers. He eats the exact same lunch (oatmeal) everyday because it takes 2 mins to prep. He even times how fast he can unload the dishwasher. You could say he's fanatical.

Whether you agree or disagree with the approach, the fact is that optimizing every minute of your life for productive pursuits is extremely challenging. You could even argue about whether it's worthwhile for everyone. I'm personally on the fence about it, even though I understand the rewards.

I don't know at what point optimizing every single second of the day starts to impact your sanity😅.
